Meerabai Not Out a film by Chandrakant Kulkarni and stars Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher, Eijaz Khan and Mahesh Manjrekar. Anil Kumble also plays a small role in the film. Mandira Bedi plays the role of a maths teacher who is also cricket fanatic and love Anil Kumble. It was released last week on December 5th.

Meerabai Not Out's music is directed by Sandesh Shandilya. I absolutely LOVE the song O Dil Sambhal and its remix. The title song isn't that bad either. Check 'em out for yourself.

One Fine Monday is directed by Manu Chobe. It tells the story of a feared don who promised his dying father that he give up his life of crime. The 'fine monday' is the day when he's supposed to start a clean life, but things aren't all that simple for him as the Monday turns out to be a very trouble-filled day. Btw, it's a comedy film, so don't go watching it as serious gangster film. The lead cast of the film are Shekhar Suman, Tanaaz Currim, Gauri Karnik, Raj Zutshi, Himanshu Jhunjhunwala, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Rajesh Vivek. The music of One Fine Monday is composed by Siddharth Shrivastav.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is Shahrukh Khan's only film for 2008 (not considering his guest appearances in Krazzy 4 and Bhoothnath). The film is about a not-so-happy couple, Surinder Sahni(SRK) and Taani (Anushka Sharma), who find true love while participating in a reality dance show called "Dancing Jodi". The film is written and directed by Aditya Chopra, and features Vinay Pathak, Anupam Kher and Farida Jalal in side roles. There are also guest appearances by Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra.

Music of RNBDJ is composed by the Salim and Sulaiman Merchant. I hope you like them, I personally haven't listened to them yet.

The music of Sorry Bhai is composed by Gaurav Dayal and Vivek Philip. The songs aren't rated high on most sites, 3/5 at best, they weren't liked that much. My personal favorite of the lot is the title song, and I don't think the rest are so bad either. I just love the composers' use of the saxophone in songs. If I had rate this album, I would say 4/5.

Sorry Bhai! is directed by Onir and stars Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi, Chitrangda Singh, Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi. Siddharth Mathur (Joshi) and his parents travels to Mauritius for his older brother, Harsh's (Suri), wedding. In the middle of all the family chaos, Siddharth and his brother's fiance fall in love which adds fire to the flame. Sounds like a good family comedy to me, I just hope it's executed well.

Fashion is, as the title suggests, a film about the dark secrets what goes on in the fashion industry. The film follows the lives of Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra), a girl from a small town who aspires to become a supermodel in Mumbai, and Shonali Gujral (Kangana Ranaut), a former successful supermodel who is facing downfall. These characters are based on real life supermodels. The film is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and also stars real life model Mugdha Godse who was a semi-finalist at the Miss India 2004,Arbaaz Khan and Samir Soni.

The music of Fashion is composed by the Merchant brothers, Salim and Sulaiman. The songs seems to be pretty well liked as so many of you have already asked me for them. I personally only like Fashion Ka Jalwa, I might like the rest after a viewing of the movie. The songs are in MP3 format. Enjoy!

Yuvvraaj was released on 21 November, and it is liked a lot since most of the searches on this site these is is Yuvvraaj. It is produced and directed by Subhash Ghai and starsSalman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan, Boman Irani and Mithun Chakraborty. It's about relationship between the three brothers and the issue of inheritence after their father dies. I watched the movie myself, however I didn't like it much. I guess I was expecting too much beforehand. After it is a Subhash Ghai film and stars all big actors. Music of Yuvraj is composed by A.R. Rehman. I hope you like the songs. Cheers.

DIL TO PAGAL HAI

Dil To Pagal Hai is one of the best movies of the 90s. It's directed by Yash Chopra and stars Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Farida Jalal. I'm pretty sure that you've already watched this film, specially if you are a Shahrukh fan. If you haven't, I'm not really sure what to say to you. Really nice movie. I specially like the music of Dil To Pagal Hai, which is composed by Uttam Singh. Some of the best songs of Lata and Udit Narayan are from DTPH. I hadn't listened to them for years, so I'm really enjoying myself right now. I'm sure you will love them too. Enjoy!!

DRONA

Drona is the upcoming film by Goldie Behl starring Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon in leading roles. It's set for release this Eid, which is I think October 2nd. It's an adventure/fantasy movie about Drona (Abhishek) who is destined to save mankind. Fantasy movies aren't ones made by Bollywood very often so I'm looking forward how what Goldie has created.

Music of Drona is composed by Dhruv Ghanekar, and there a couple of nice songs in this movie. The title song for one is quite a nice song. I hope you like them too.

KIDNAP

Also set for release on Eid this year is Kidnap, Imraan Khan's second film. It's directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Minissha Lamba, Vidya Malvade, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and Rahul Dev. As the name suggests, it's about a kidnapping case. Seems like there's going to be an important competition between Abhishek's Drona and Kidnap. Trying to live up to his great performance in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na could put a lot of pressure on Imraan. I think the trailer is already out, so look it up on Youtube or somewhere. Should be interesting.

Musi of Kidnap is composed by Prittam. I honestly don't have any comments on the songs, as I haven't listened to them yet. But Prittam has made some great music in the past, so I have a good feeling about this one too.

Starring Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan and Sanjay Dutt, Parineeta has an excellent and original story, as well as its great music. I always enjoy listening to the melodious songs of Parineeta. The movie is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and credit for the excellent music goes to Shantanu Moitra. I specially liked Saif's performance. He is at his peak here. I don't really remember where and when this soundtrack album was requested or who did request (aplogies for that), but it was requested who I hope finds out that I finally posted it.

Bluffmaster stars Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Nana Patekar and Ritesh Deshmukh, and it is directed by Rohan Sippy. The music directors are Vishal and Shekhar who have done a really great job. I've always enjoyed listening to them (except a few, of course). Most of the songs in this album seem to be remixes of old songs, or at least that's how I feel. There is even a song (Do Aur Do Paunch) by Kishore Kumar. Btw, does anyone know what language is the song 'Bure Bure/Boro Boro' in? Some of it is Hindi, but majority is not. And somehow this song is one of my favourite from this album.

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over!!! Music of King Khan's latest movie, Chak De India, is here! In this film Shahrukh Khan plays the role of the coach of national hockey team, who takes his team in to World Cup. It is directed by Shmit Amin. Vidya Malvade also plays a major role in film, I think that of a hockey player who dreams of playing for the National Team. Just a guess. Chak De India is one of the major movies of the year under the Yash Raj Movies banner, and it's produced by the Chopras. BTW, this is SRK's first muslim role and accroding to IMDB.com, he grew the beard in order to look more muslim-like.

The music directors of Chak De are Salim and Sulaiman Merchant. I personally like the songs from this film, except the parts sung by SRK himself ;) They have done a good job. I hope you like it too.

Sorry for taking so long to post Taare Zameen Par. I've been REALLY busy lately. As they say, better late than never. So here it is. Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par stars himself in the lead role alongside Tanay Chheda, Tisca Chopra, Vibha Sharma, and Darsheel Safary. I'm sure a lot of you have been eagerly waiting for this. Aamir is also the producer of this film. We all know that he is a control freak when it comes to his movies and has had problems with his previous directors and producers. So this time he's taken control of everything to make sure the final product is exactly what he wants. I hope it pays off well.

Music of TZP is directed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Right now I'm listening to song 3 and there is nothing spectacular so far. It ain't that bad either. I'm sure I will like them more once I see the film. I hope you enjoy them more than I did.

Akshay's been hitting us with so many comedy movies lately. Who would think that Mr. Khiladi would one day be a funny man.

Music of is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Anand Raj Anand. Thanks to Anand's participation, we only get to hear Himesh in one song. However, it's Anand who is singing 3 of the songs this time. Fortunately, his voice is not as annoying :)

Music of HB is composed by Sukhwinder Singh. Muscially there's nothing new and out of the ordinary. The songs sound pretty familiar. However, I really find Sukhwinder Singh's voice very refreshing. It seems like he really is passionate about music and that is quite apparent in how sings. I have to say the best song of this album's got to be Jab Tak Hai Dum.

These short stories are directed by six directors, i.e. Sanjay Gupta, Apoorva Lakhia, Meghna Gulzar, Hansal Mehta, Jasmeet Dhodi and Sudhir Mishra. The list of the cast for Dus Kahaniyaan is even longer. I'm not going to list every name here. Just know there definitely is one or more of your favorite actors in this film.

To keep the tradition alive, the producers have also hired more than one music directors for this film. They are Gourav Dasgupta, Anand Raj Anand, Bappi Lahiri and Shafqat Ali Khan. Once again there is something for everyone the following 3 sets of songs. For me the most interesting ones seem to be Gulzaar's poems. One of the reasons I've been hesitating to post DK's songs is that there are just too many. I could've posted three albums instead of it, but since so many people want it, I had to ignore that feeling. Anyway I hope you enjoy these songs.

If you ask a lazy nobody like me who has spent days without doing anything meaningful, the answer would be 'So #$%&*@# what!!' But Bill Gates will have a different answer for you. Anyhow, Sunday is a film by Rohit Shetty and stars Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Ayesha Takia, Irfaan Khan and Anjana Sukhani.

The average, not-so-special songs of Sunday are composed by DJ Suketu and Shibani Kashyap. Enough said.

Hindi Song Go (2007)

Go is directed by Manish Srivastav and stars Gautam Gupta, Nisha Kothari, Kay Kay Menon and Rajpal Yadav in leading roles. It's about two rich kids who run away from home for some reason but then they get in all sorts of trouble and get chased by the 'bad guys'. That's what I've read about it on the net. It's music is composed by Sneha Khanwalka. The songs are surprisingly better that I expected. Since it's a low budget film, I had very low expectations too. I guess you can't read a book by it's cover after all.

Aap Kaa Surroor

Hindi Song Aap Kaa Surroor (2007)

Remember Himesh Reshammiya debuting acting last year in a film supposedly telling his real love story? That movie was Aap Ka Surroor. I didn't get to post the songs back then, so here they are. Aap Ka Surroor is directed by Prashant Chadha who also started his directing career with this film. Other major casts of AKS include Mallika Sherawat, Hansika Motwani and Raj Babbar. Btw, there's going to be sequel to this film also directed by Prashant Chadha called "Aap Ka Surroor 2: Ae Himesh Bhai" set to release sometimes this year, so keep an eye out for that if you are a Himesh fan.

Music of AKS is of course composed by Himesh himself. There are some nice tracks there. I hope you like this album, even though it is kinda dated.

Hindi Song Tashan (2008)

Tashan is a film by writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya and stars Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Despite all the hype, Tashan has received pretty bad reviews. Apparently there is no content in it. Honestly, after I heard the emphasis on "ishtyle" in their promotional stuff, I wasn't expecting much myself either. Seems like Yash Raj Films are committed to continue producing crappy films.

Lucky for us though, music of Tashan is composed by Vishal and Shekhar who are focussed on quality. There are a few of good songs, and there are a couple of songs for Sukhwinder fans. I hope you like the songs.

Pritam has composed the scores for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I can't say much about this film, as I know nothing and haven't had a chance to listen to the songs either. I just hope it's good and that you all like it.
