Billu Barber is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner. It tells the story of a barber Bilas Rao Pardesi (Irfan Khan) who lives in his village with his wife Bindiya (Lara Dutta) and two kids. When superstar Sahir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) comes to their village to shoot a film, Billas/Billu tells people that he and Sahir are childhood friends for which he is ridiculed. The films also stars Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani, as well as guest appearances by Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra in item numbers. Billu Barber was released on February 13, so check it if you haven't already.Music of Billu is composed by Pritam. There's a nice song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan that I like a lot (Jaaon Kaha). There are a couple of other good songs too. I hope you like them.

Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire is the multi-Oscar winning film (8 Oscar, to be exact) directed by the British director Danny Boyle. But you already know that. How could you not! It's all over the news these days. However, I am ashamed to say I haven't watched it yet. The film is about Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on "Kaun Banega Crorepati?". Other major roles in the film are played by Freida Pinto, Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Madhur Mittal, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar and Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail.The spectacular music of Slumdog Millionaire is composed by A. R. Rehman who won two Oscars (for best music and best song, Jai Ho). I don't need to tell you how good the music is. It's so obvious. Enjoy ;D

Anwar

Anwar is a film directed by Manish Jha (any relations to our Sanjay Jha??) and stars Siddarth Koirala as Anwar as well as Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz and Nauheed Cyrusi in other major roles.

Music of Anwar is directed by Pankaj Awasthi and Mithoon. I hope you like the songs. It's been quite a while since my last post, and the reason for that is my new job. It is really tiring and the shift timings are different, so I guess it will take me a while to get used to it and make some time for blogging. Enough said. Enjoy the music.

Salaam-E-Ishq

Salaam-E-Ishq is a star packed (six couples. twelve lives.) directed by the man who brought us one of most loved movies of 2003, Kal Ho Na Ho, the one and only Nikhil Advani. It's his second film so far, and from all it's star power, you can only guess that Salaam-E-Ishq is going to do very well in the box-office. But how good a movie it is, is yet to be seen. The cast of SEI includes Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Isha Koppikar, Shannon Esrechowitz, Sohail Khan, Karan Johar (!?) and Anjana Sukhani. Wow!

The music of this film is given by the guys who rocked the world with Don's music earlier this, Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The music is great, very playful and as usual they will rock ya! Enjoy!

Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamaana

Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamaana is a film about he life, specially friendship, of four women played by Mahima Chaudhary, Rekha, Kim Sharma and Vasundhara Das. It is directed by Amar Butala. Music of KKHZ is directed by Iqbal & Yasin Darbar. One of the songs of KKHZ is sung by Rekha, but I won't tell you which one. Let's see if anyone can get it right (No cheating/googling!!). Hope you like the songs.

Vishal Shekar is back in I See You, and this time around he hasn't done as well as his previous albums such as Jhankar Beats. I personally don't the songs much. Be warned that this guy isn't the same as 'Vishal & Shekhar' from Bluffmaster. I have previously mistaken them for one another, but thanks to Smashits.com I won't do it again :)
